Traveling with narcotic medication
Travelers wishing to bring medication containing narcotic substances for their personal use must have the following documentation upon entering Aruba:
- A valid identification document (passport)
- A mandatory 'Declaration of No Objection' issued by the Inspectorate of Public Health Aruba (IVA)
How to obtain a Declaration of No Objection
Travelers from Schengen countries (Europe)
- A certified CAK/Schengen Declaration issued by a Schengen Member State.
This declaration is valid for 30 days.
Travelers from non-Schengen countries (for example, The U.S.)
- A medical declaration from the treating physician abroad that meets the following requirements:
- Written in one of the following languages: English, Spanish, Dutch, or Papiamento.
- Must be legible, fully completed, and signed by the physician.

Submission of the required documents
The traveler/patient must send one of the above-mentioned required documents by filling out the digital request form below at least 10 working days before arriving in Aruba with the medication.
Please have the following information at hand when filling out the request form:
- Date of arrival and departure;
- Flight details;
- Address or location where the traveler will stay during their visit.
